Kasandra Blann Garner, DVM will give a program on the importance of spaying and neutering pets.
Kasandra is a Rotary member,
the president and director of Kayleigh’s Haven Inc. and owner and operator Critter Care Animal Clinic.
Dr. Garner graduated from the North Carolina State University veterinary program with a 4.0 GPA and was ranked 5th in her class.
She is a member of Phi Zeta (National Veterinary Honor Society).
She started Kayliegh’s Haven in 2004 as a non-profit animal shelter and pet welfare/spay-neuter education organization.
She has over 15 years of experience in animal rescue.

James E. Hall, former Chairman of the National Transportation Safety Board will be our speaker.
Tentative topic - airline safety since TWA 800.
Chairman Hall led two investigations during his tenure which directly impacted Jackson County; first, was the 1996 explosion and crash of TWA Flight 800 off Long Island New York, in which five Stevensonians were killed; second, was the 1999 natural gas explosion in Bridgeport, which killed four and injured six others and leveled more than a city block of buildings.

Morris Necklaus, owner and operator of Recycling for Scottsboro will be our speaker.
Morris spoke to our club in 2006 when he first started the recycling center and as Faye MacBride’s guest, he'll provide us with an update of the accomplishments made with this effort.
